Derek Flynn of Eurodragster.com news sponsor Gold RV says that he will be attempting to complete his Top Methanol licensing at Shakespeare County Raceway at the Spring Speed Festival on 5-7 May.

"After a rather disappointing debut in TMD at Santa Pod, we are really looking forward to our weekend at Shakey, after speaking with Jerry Cookson, and his kind invitation that we could complete our final licence pass and do some demo runs at the Spring Speed Festival, we just can't wait to try and beat our previous best at Shakey of 6.7 at 199.7 mph, in the Gold RV Lane.

"We have now overhauled our Lenco and inserted the thrust washer that was previously missing in our 3rd gear. We have completely rebuilt our Bruno Torque Converter to ensure lock-up in 2nd and 3rd. We also hope our new MSD Pro Mag sorts out our number 8 cylinder problems and ensures we can burn all the fuel we are throwing at the engine.

"With the NFAA attending along with some of our Dutch friends from Explosion, I am sure that the weekend will be a real crowd-pleaser and we can not wait to see you all there!"
